In this work, we delve on the exponential growth observed in the use of the word “delve” in the texts of all sorts of students’ papers since the advent of ChatGPT, in a way that the mere presence of the word “delve” in a student paper is a clear red flag indicating that the given paper has been written most likely using generative artificial intelligence.

Note: And ultimately it appears that I was not wrong: a recent scientific article has been published Science Advances claiming that something similar has occurred in scientific literature (see image below).
