fable of Anianus

A man found a satyr in the forests and invited him to have supper at his home. Once they were sitting at the table, the satyr saw the man blowing his breathe into his hands. The satyr asked him why he was doing that. The man said: 'my hands are freezing, so I blow to warm them'. Afterwards, once they had the bowls full of soup in front of them, the satyr saw the man blowing to his bowl. Once again, the satyr asked him why he was doing that. The man said: 'the soup is very warm, so I blow to cool it'. Then, the satyr stood up and opened the door to leave. The man asked him why he was doing that. The satyr said: 'I can't stay here with somebody that does the same thing to achieve opposite objectives'.
